3 Best Places to Eat When Visiting Seaview
Golf can build up quite the appetite. We understand that you need to fuel up before and after each round, and that our visitors deserve the best our corner of the island has to offer.
Located all within 5 minutes of our course is some of the best food you can treat yourself to regardless if you’re visiting our course for the first time, if you’re traveling our beautiful island, or if you golf here every single day.
Here are the best restaurants serving the best food near Seaview Golf and Country Club:
The Black Spoon
Not far from the course is a quaint and cozy bistro that would rival any in the province. Recently recommended in “Where to Eat in Canada” magazine, The Black Spoon is the perfect place for lunch before an afternoon round, or after an early morning 18.
The charming atmosphere is complimented by great service and seriously delicious food. A fresh and local take on traditional bistro fare adds tempting dishes like Seafood Chowder, Scallop Carbonara, and Bacon Bourbon Ribs.
No time for a full meal? Hit up the Black Spoon Espresso Bar nearby for a shot of java to perk you up for the course.
We Recommend: Black Bean Burger with an Apple Almond Salad.
Thyme Savour
This is a must stop kitchen if you want to get in 18 holes and still have a homemade lasagna on the table for your family when they get home. Thyme Savour not only provides delicious,
homemade heat and serve meals, they also provide amazing choices to take with you to the course.
The Grab n’ Go menu is perfect for a fresh packed lunch to keep you energized on the course. The always changing menu always has fresh and healthy choices made with local ingredients that will keep you coming back again and again.
We Recommend: Buffalo Chicken Sandwich to go.
The Lobster Pound and Moore
This is the type of restaurant you take people when you’re trying to impress. Whether it’s after a business meeting on the course, or with a group of golf buddies looking to fill their
bellies after a round. The Lobster Pound will not disappoint.
Quickly becoming one of the best restaurants in the province, locals and travelers alike will love the taste of real Cape Breton cooking made with fresh-as-can-be seafood, local
ingredients, and down home hospitality.
Dishes like Maple Smoked Salmon, Fish and Chips, Calamari, Pasta, and of course Lobster are served like you’ve never tasted before. The generous portions cooked by professionally trained chefs makes this a must-stop after your round.
We Recommend: Lobster Ravioli (try not to lick the plate when you’re done).
Honorable Mention: A & K Lick-A-Chick
Visiting from out of town? No trip to Cape Breton is complete without a stop at the world famous A & K Lick-A-Chick. It’s only minutes from the course and has some of the best fried chicken you’ll ever eat. But be warned: this is probably best left for after your round.
